Le coq sportif was founded 130 years ago, in 1882, in Romilly-sur-Seine near Troyes, France’s knitwear capital. His earliest purpose was providing high-quality sport products for teams and individual athletes. Today, 90% of our textile production comes from Troyes in France, where knitting and dyeing are made. It gives quality to our products, which is recognized by our consumers. Le coq sportif designs its shoe and clothing collections with just as much care as its products designed for professional athletes, with the same touch of French elegance. In 2010, the brand opened a development center and a production site in Romilly-sur-Seine in France.

Le coq sportif has been marked by great moments – Bernard Hinault’s five Tour de France victories, Yannick Noah’s 1983 French Open win, and Argentina’s World Cup victory in 1986, led by Diego Maradona, which followed Italy’s win in 1982 – that have forever tied the brand to sport. Today, le coq sportif is a clothing sponsor to athletes in its historic sports: the tricolour brand provides high-performance jerseys to the Tour de France leaders, and in January 2014 it launched a deal with French tennis player Richard Gasquet. Our engineering simulation tools, led by the STAR-CCM+ product, allow Renault Sport Formula One Team to discover better designs, faster. The software plays a critical role in aerodynamic development, while both STAR-CCM+ and STAR-CD are used extensively in engine design simulation solutions, providing the most reliable flow of information into the team’s design process, which in turn drives innovation and lowers development costs.



Our advanced composite design tools, led by the Fibersim product, allow Renault Sport Formula One Team to design and manufacture parts made of advanced composite materials, including carbon fibre. The software enables the engineers at the Enstone facility to significantly reduce design and production time and improve the accuracy of its composite racing car parts, which make up 85% of the car but only 20% of its weight.

The name YXLON stands for assurance and quality for all types of cast parts, tires, electrical and electronic components, turbine blades, welded joints and a lot more. Our product portfolio includes X-ray systems for installation in radiological inspection envelopes, universal X-ray inspection systems on the basis of fully shielded devices, as well as solutions specific to a customer. Whether in manual, semi or fully automated operation, our inspection systems are ideal for deployment in research & development and can be integrated into any production process.


CT systems have been an integral part of our product portfolio since as far back as 2003. Computed tomography provides a three-dimensional insight into inspection items, thus enabling the analysis of inner structures, dimensional measurement tasks in metrology applications or actual-to-nominal comparisons to CAD data, to name only a few examples. Besides delivering a more precise inspection evaluation when compared with radiography, computed tomography also provides valuable information about the production process. Above and beyond such advantages, our microfocus systems permit highly detailed looks into the most intricate structures and tiniest components.
