Renault Sport Racing have an excellent opportunity to join our team at a tremendously exciting time in our history within Formula 1. As we continue to grow as a team, we are looking for a highly talented individual to join the Aerodynamic Software Engineering group at Renault Sport as a Software Engineer. This key position will focus on the operation and development of the advanced software we develop to ensure efficient and reliable aerodynamic development throughout the season.

The Role

You will improve our existing software and create ambitious new tools to more efficiently extract and understand results from wind tunnel, track and CFD. Assisting the engineers by developing capabilities to compare aerodynamic data across these three domains in an intuitive and seamless manner.

The candidate must be competent with Python (3.6+). Useful Python modules to be familiar with are: PyQt, PyTest, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Sphinx.

The ability to support our legacy .NET software and familiarity with SQL databases is essential.

Any experience with Cosworth software such as Diablo would be advantageous.

The successful candidate must be comfortable developing on both Windows and Linux.

The Person

We are looking for individuals that can demonstrate technical competence as well as a collaborative, creative and proactive approach. Previous experience of motorsport is an advantage but not essential, we believe the right attitude and drive to succeed is vital to our success.

The candidate will be organised, methodical and demonstrate the ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and articulate challenging concepts in understandable terms.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creative thinking, and have demonstrated the ability to consistently deliver high-quality results, under pressure and within tight timescales.
